About Cedar Elementary

Cedar Elementary, located at 2823 9th Street SW, serves approximately 370 students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. With a dedicated staff of 60, our school is committed to academic excellence, leadership, and community engagement.

At Cedar, we achieve excellence by fostering strong foundational skills in core subjects. In math, students develop critical thinking and problem-solving strategies. In reading, they learn to decode, discuss, and engage with stories while building a love for books. In writing, students organize their thoughts clearly and creatively express their ideas.

Leadership is demonstrated through our staff’s use of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), ensuring that learning experiences are tailored to meet the needs of all students, and promoting growth and development at every level.

We take pride in our strong community partnerships with organizations such as Aultman Hospital, Feed Kids First, HWS Best Health, The Total Living Center, and many more, working together to support student success. Students also have access to a variety of extracurricular activities, including Coding Club, Pups Club, and Y-Care before and after-school services.
